For those of you who don’t know, I’m a contestant in WSMV/Subway Get Fit Challenge this spring. You can check out my page here. It’s fun- I love my trainer, and I’ve discovered Zumba which is just about the greatest thing since sliced bread (speaking of bread, I’ve been eating a lot of Subway, and I’ve gotta say- the bread is incredible!).
I’m watching The Biggest Looser right now, and everyone was home for two weeks, and all are loosing 10+ pounds in two weeks. I’m not loosing weight that quickly, and I think I should be! I know, I know, their lives are not mine. But…Onederland is in my sights. I haven’t been there since I was about 5 months pregnant with Lily, but I WILL GET BACK!
BTW- I have another dr’s appointment for my arm a week from tomorrow. Pray that the bone is solid, so I can go back to yoga, start lifting with my arms (besides Austin & Lily) and start riding bike OUTSIDE!
If you don’t follow Daily Dose of Imagery, you need to. Look at these beautiful shots from last week:
I’m thinking about starting a weekly series on here called The Search for the Holy Grail.
I swear, I have been looking for the perfect laptop bag for something like seven years. Any ideas?
Here are my requirements:
The hunt is on. I’ll keep you posted.
I’m supposed to be writing right now. It’s my time out of the house to get some writing done, but it’s slow going. Everything I try to write about today is coming out too personal. It’s fiction, but based on truth, and I’m afraid if I write it someone is going to think that I don’t love my family or that I’m going to leave my husband or fill in the blank.
It’s a bit psycho, I know. But I wonder- when Agatha Christie was working on her first book, did anyone wonder if she had really killed someone at some point? I mean, if you’re supposed to write what you know…
Actually, Stephen King talks about this in On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft I can’t remember what exactly he says, but it’s something along the lines of the fact that he didn’t have to kill people to write horror stories.
So…my conclusion is that I should get over it and write. Right?
Do you have a morning routine? Does it include a lot of time reading the paper, watching the news, or sitting with your cup of coffee?
That sounds nice.
I have a morning routine: snooze for between 3 and 45 minutes. Realize if I don’t leave RIGHT NOW the trip to the gym will be pointless. Rush out of bed, into the workout clothes and contacts, out the door to the rec center. After 30 minutes and zero seconds on the elliptical rush back home, into the shower. Out, brush my and the kids’ teeth, fix make up, clothes, hair. Start coffee, make lunch while it’s brewing, pour in the cup (when my aim is good) kisses all around as I run out the door.
I would LOVE to have a leisurely morning routine, but the first time my alarm goes off is at 4:45, so I’m not seeing how that would happen. But, I’m willing to trade that picture perfect morning for the time I have with my family in the late afternoon when I get home from work.
That doesn’t mean I’m not jealous of the family breakfasts I see on tv.
I read this term for the first time today on Celia’s blog. Is it a real job? I want to be one!
