A week or so ago I created this treasury on etsy. Ever since, I’ve wanted to try doing a heavily textured painting. This morning, when I came back from teaching Pilates, I finally went for it. I love how it turned out. What do you think?
I recently completed my first commissioned art project. Not only was it my first commissioned project, it was also my first sale, and the canvases were the largest I’ve ever worked with. Here is the final product. I will blog some of the in-progress pictures later.

I started on an incredibly exciting project tonight: my first commissioned art pieces! I’m doing a series of five panels for an amazing friend’s house. It makes me feel like a real artist! Here’s some “in progress” pictures:
I pulled out the paints for ten minutes tonight, and enjoyed photographing it as much as I did creating. Makes me think about doing more paint photography- could I paint only for the photos and not the finished product?
